Denyse created her series of paintings entitled, The Girls, which depict the passionate and playful essence of being a woman. Her paintings capture the joys of being encased in soft curves, allowing women to see themselves, like their friends and families do: as precious works of art.
Most women, after viewing the paintings and their amusing titles, giggle as they identify the body shape most like their own. Enthusiastic conversations about body image and self esteem are stimulated by the humor.
When women embrace who they are – mind, body and spirit – they exude an inexplicable joy. Denyse hopes that these light-hearted paintings will help women to take themselves less seriously while celebrating who they are, inside and out!
